Since I haven't done a review post since last September, I thought it was time to do one! I started feeling bad about that and how I've only written 15 posts since then, but then I realized that I really can't do it all. I still have classes and schoolwork, housework, two boys to parent, and a husband to hang out with.
I get a little time to write and work on house projects but usually I end up falling asleep before I can get to them. Add in a recurring eye issue and tada! Not a whole lot accomplished. I enjoy what I am doing immensely though!
And so, I'll just jump right into the review!
One of my absolute favorites! The boys' vintage modern bedroom reveal. Free printable too! I should probably do a source post on this one and I definitely need to put up the tutorial for those curtains!
Sometimes you have to stop and look for the beauty in the mundane.
I went the simple and natural route with my fall mantel last year.
I don't have flowers so I just use what I do have. I made a visual list of all the ways I've used things from my backyard in the house.
Can't forget the Christmas Tour even if it is March! I love this picture of my bed. It makes me want to go to sleeeep...
Marie Kondo's book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, was one of my favorite reads last year. There's a link to my review in my favorite 2015 posts.
I find it helpful to pick a goal word for the year. This year I picked deliberate. I'm trying to make some drastic changes around here!
I didn't have a long list of home goals for 2016, but the goals I do have are pretty big. This room has become the junk/storage room and I'm in the process of changing that!
Out of five different shades of white, I picked a new paint color for the former junk room.
1980's rooms. Fun, but cringeworthy.
A new rug that won't stay in this room for long but it was a complete steal!
There is a lot of progress being made overall. The craft/exercise room is painted now, though I was a bit disappointed in the color as it didn't end up as gray as I thought it would. I feel like it's kind of a lighter, slightly grayer version of the old color. It isn't a bad color, just not what I thought it would be from the sample swatch I originally painted.
I'm going with it though!
I hope you all have a great week and can enjoy the nice weather outside! Go be awesome!
